Parent Information

Parents are an essential component to the Miami Waterkeeper Junior Ambassador program experience! We thank you for your commitment to your child's environmental education!

Program Requirements

In order to apply for the Junior Ambassador program, students must complete a signed Parent Release Form and submit to [email protected] by the application deadline.

Schedule of Events

At Miami Waterkeeper, we know our Ambassadors have busy schedules! They are dedicated student-leaders that are very involved in school, extracurricular activities, sports, family, and more! We try to keep our scheduling as consistent as possible to allow you and your family to plan. We also allow students to attend make-up events which will be noted in the calendar as the year progresses.

Junior Ambassador trainings and events will generally occur on one Saturday/Sunday of each month for a 2-3 hour time period in the morning. This schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather. We ask that parents keep an eye on their email and an ear on their phone in order to accommodate any last minute changes in the schedules.

Parent Volunteers

We are always in need of adult chaperones and volunteer support at Junior Ambassador events. If you have an affinity for organizing catering, coordinating carpools, or raising money -- we want you on our team! Send an email to [email protected] to find out how you can help as a parent volunteer.
