Miami Waterkeeper + Native Plant Network at Fairchild Workshop: Native Plants & Clean Waters
Saturday, July 11th | 10am–12pm
📍 Location: Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, Science Village Classroom
About This Workshop
Join Miami Waterkeeper and the Native Plant Network at Fairchild for a hands-on community workshop connecting two of South Florida's most pressing environmental priorities: smart fertilizer use and native plant stewardship.
In two engaging hours, you'll hear from experts on how everyday landscaping decisions — from fertilizer choices to plant selection — directly impact the health of Biscayne Bay and our local waterways. You'll also get to roll up your sleeves: participants will plant a seedling and take home seed packets to grow native plants in their own communities.
Whether you manage a homeowner association, serve in local government, or simply care about South Florida's environment, this workshop will give you practical, science-backed tools to make a real difference where you live.
