I decided to become a Champion because Biscayne Bay is much more than a place for us to enjoy a day on the water; it is central to all things Miami. The Bay's beauty attracts tourists from all over the world, fueling more than half of our local economy; its water sustains us day to day; and its connection to the world is why Miami has the unique diversity that is key to our culture.

However, Biscayne Bay faces serious threats, the impacts of which we see in the form of flooding, no swim advisories, fish kills, foul odors, and more. That is why Miami Waterkeeper protects Biscayne Bay and why I'm asking you to support my efforts to further the organization's work.

The Charlesmead Foundation will match the first $15,000 donated to Miami Waterkeeper through Give Miami Day. On top of that, all gifts between $25 and $10,000 will earn bonus funding from The Miami Foundation, making your dollars go further. This means that a gift of $100 will have an impact of more than $200!
