Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is Give Miami Day?
A: One of the nation's biggest 24-hour annual giving events, Give Miami Day is an online campaign where all locals are philanthropists. All gifts between $25 and $10,000 are eligible for a bonus gift from the Bonus Pool. For more information about Give Miami Day, click here.
Q: When is Give Miami Day?
A: Give Miami Day is on Thursday, November 18, 2021. The Early Giving Period runs Monday-Wednesday, November 15-17, 2021.
Q: Who are Champions?
A: Any member of the community who chooses to raise money for their favorite nonprofit(s) during Give Miami Day by creating a personalized fundraiser page to share with friends and family.
Q: Why should I become a Champion?
A: Champions create a personal fundraising page with the opportunity to share their own story of why they're involved. If you have been personally impacted by the work of Miami Waterkeeper, you can share that through your Champion page to tell your friends and family why you support our work - and encourage them to support Miami Waterkeeper, as well! Becoming a Champion also expands our reach to engage even more members of the community in our work.
Q: How do I become a Champion for Clean Water?
A: Use this toolkit to click through the three steps to become a Champion - (1) create your personal fundraising page, (2) decide who to ask, and (3) spread the word!
Q: I've sent an email to request a link to sign up to be a Champion for Clean Water, but I haven't received the Neon Raise email. What should I do?
A: This could be happening for a couple reasons. First, check your spam folder. The Neon Raise email will come from [email protected], so it may go to spam or junk. Second, make sure you spelled Jaimee's name correctly in your email asking to be made a Champion. Her email address is [email protected] (spelled Jaime, but with an extra e). If you keep trying and it's not working, try sending the email to [email protected]
Q: I have a question not answered here. Help!
A: We're happy to help! Contact Jaimee Spector at [email protected] with any questions you have, and she'll get back to you within one business day.
