Jessica Ganim
Jess joined Miami Waterkeeper as our newest Environmental Policy Analyst.

Jessica holds an M.S. in Marine Biology & Ecology from the University of Miami’s
Rosenstiel School and a B.S. in Marine Science with a minor in Writing from the
University of Delaware. During her studies, she conducted research on coral resilience
in polluted marine environments, with the goal of understanding how some corals thrive
in areas with significant exposure to urban pollutants.

Jessica is passionate about the strong connection between human and environmental
health. Before joining Miami Waterkeeper as an Environmental Policy Analyst, she
worked with the non-profit MADE SAFE in assessing personal care products and
textiles for their toxicity to humans and the environment. Through this work, Jessica
strived to improve consumer awareness of ingredient safety, mitigate environmental
pollution, and aid in expanding access to nontoxic products in the marketplace through
effective research. She’s excited to bring her experience to Miami Waterkeeper to
advocate for positive change in our Southeast Florida waterways. In her free time,
Jessica enjoys being active and spending time by the ocean.
