Hold the Line on Miami-Dade County's Urban Development Boundary

Support our friends in the Hold the Line Coalition by telling the County Commission to stand firm on protecting the Everglades from development. For decades, Miami-Dade has protected a boundary line to stop urban sprawl into the Everglades, called the “Urban Development Boundary.” This is one of our best tools to protect this valuable habitat and our drinking water. Yet, this boundary is constantly under threat. Every year, developers push to build on land beyond that line. Now, they are proposing an almost 800-acre industrial complex on the wrong side of the Urban Development Boundary—in the Everglades. Building this project would be a nail in the coffin for plans to bring much-needed fresh water to Biscayne Bay through restoring the Everglades.

Now, the County Commission is voting on this harmful development on September 9. Take action NOW and tell the Commission to HOLD THE LINE!
