For nearly two decades, Helen has worked at the intersection of philanthropy, education, and environmental advocacy, helping to address some of Florida’s most pressing challenges. She enjoys connecting people’s passions and resources with missions that drive lasting change, from closing the opportunity gap for students to protecting the wildlife and wild places that make Florida unique. As Vice President of Philanthropy, Helen works to inspire and engage supporters to partner with Miami Waterkeeper in protecting the water we love and building more resilient communities across South Florida.
A Northeast Florida native, Helen grew up exploring the region’s beaches and waterways, an experience that sparked her lifelong love for the outdoors and being on the water. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of North Florida and has called Miami home for the past 15 years. An avid water enthusiast, Helen spends as much time as possible on or in the water, whether paddling, sailing, snorkeling, or freediving as a certified PADI Freediver.
In addition to her professional work, Helen is deeply committed to youth mentorship through organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters and Take Stock in Children, and she is an active member of the Junior League of Miami.
