Miami Waterkeeper is proud to partner with the City of Miami Parks and Recreation to offer these public habitat restoration events. We are excited you want to restore our local parks and natural habitats!
Volunteer Day Main Tasks:
- Removal of invasive plants (Scaevola and Sansevieria sp. species) from Dune Habitat
- Participants will have to be comfortable using loppers, hand clippers, and spading forks, hauling debris through an uneven slope ground.
This volunteer event will require heavy lifting, hence teenagers and older groups are recommended. If younger age groups participate, they should be monitored at all times by the designated guardian, parents, etc. *Community Service hours also provided*
