Microplastic Cleanup Event
Honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s vision of service and community action with Miami Waterkeeper at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park! Microplastics—plastic fragments smaller than 5mm—pose a significant threat to marine ecosystems and wildlife. This is your chance to make a direct impact while learning about the environmental importance of removing these harmful pollutants.

- Time: 9:30AM-11:30 AM (check-in opens 30 minutes prior)
- Location: Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, 4020 Virginia Beach Dr, Miami-Dade, FL 33149

What to Bring:
- Refillable water bottle
- REQUIRED: Closed-toe shoes
- RECOMMENDED: Long-sleeved shirts and pants (that can get wet), hat, towel, sunblock, and insect repellent, personal gloves (Miami Waterkeeper will provide gloves if needed).
Community service hours available for participants.
