NAHREP West Broward is a purpose-driven organization that is propelled by a passionate combination of entrepreneurial spirit, cultural heritage and the advocacy of its members. Our mission is to advance sustainable Hispanic homeownership.
Ballyhoo Media is a family-owned start-up that is revolutionizing the way we live, experience, and communicate on the waterways. As a water-based multi-media company, we are changing the landscape of outdoor advertising & events. Founded by a love for the oceans, Ballyhoo encourages the community to build stronger connections with our natural environment through branded activations, unique events, public service announcements, and local partnerships. We take action to make preservation, conservation, and sustainability our priority with every opportunity.
Historic Virginia Key Beach Park is one of Miami's most beautiful beaches, located off the Rickenbacker Causeway, and has rich historical and cultural significance for the Miami community.
PLANTA is a premier hospitality collective of 100% plant-based restaurants that reimagine, reinvent, and revitalize the plant-based dining experience, providing flavorful proof that the power of plants can change the world. PLANTA will provide curated food for our volunteers!
Lauren Shapiro is a Miami-based artist who integrates ceramics and technology to explore natural ecosystems. Her Blue Horizon Project is a new public sculpture involving ceramic components molded from 3D-scanned coral reefs. Shapiro aims to unite artists and audiences by engaging the community in creating these ceramics through interactive workshops open to the public. The objects produced will be fired, glazed, and affixed to a monumental, sinking arch sculpture, evoking the sensation of descending into an underwater world where our city is submerged, transforming into an artificial reef colonized by corals. With rising sea levels threatening coral reefs, the project aims to raise awareness about incorporating underwater environments into urban landscapes and promoting environmental sustainability through art and civic engagement. With support from Anonymous Was a Woman in partnership with The New York Foundation for the Arts. Join Shapiro for this activation at the Earth Day event, where volunteers can participate and contribute to the project!
