Aaron received his JD from Georgetown University Law Center in 1988, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and went on to start a successful career in commercial real estate development. As founder and president of Rugby Realty Group (www.rugbyrealty.com), Aaron has been directly responsible for the purchase and redevelopment of more than 10 million square feet of commercial properties with a market value of over $1 Billion.

As an active scuba diver and kiteboarder, Aaron became concerned about the threats posed to Miami’s water by unsustainable development and climate change associated factors. In 2018, Aaron went back to school at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) to receive a Master of Professional Science degree with a concentration in Marine Conservation.

Aaron completed his internship at RSMAS by successfully creating Miami Waterkeeper’s Septic Tank Pollution Campaign.  In his position as a Board Member, Aaron hopes he will have the opportunity to work with the community to help them prepare for the challenges that the future holds for us.

Aaron served for many years as a Board Member of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and is currently a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for FIU’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.  He is also a member of the Florida, New York, and District of Columbia bar associations.
