Turkey Point plant to use reclaimed water for towers

Reclaimed water will be used in mechanical draft cooling towers instead of the cooling canals at Florida Power and Light’s Turkey Point, according to the region’s major electricity source.

The company’s change of plans has eased concerns for some critics of the original usage plan, while others say it still threatens local water sources.
