Give Miami Day 2022 Champion Instructions

Thank you so much for being a
Fundraiser for Miami Waterkeeper
on Give Miami Day, November 13-16!

Below are the steps to create your fundraising page. If you hit any roadblocks, please connect with [email protected] to walk you through it.

Step One: Log In

• Click here to visit the Miami Waterkeeper page on the Give Miami Day website.

  • If you have participated in Give Miami Day in the past: Enter your email address, click "forgot password" and follow the prompts.
  • If you have not participated in Give Miami Day in the past: Create an account and verify your account through email (sent by Give Miami Day via Mighty Cause)
    
• Once you are logged in, click on "Get Started" and then "Build Your Fundraiser"

Step Two: Set up your page

You will be taken to the Miami Waterkeeper fundraiser page template.

• Please edit the following fields by clicking on the pencil icon to the righthand side of each section.
  
  • Your Name for Miami Waterkeeper: Please change "[Your Name]" to your first and last name (i.e., Jenny Silver for Miami Waterkeeper).
    
    
  • Fundraising Goal: This is how much you are trying to raise. The default is set to $1,500.
    • We recommend picking a number that feels slightly higher than what you think you're capable of.
    • The minimum gift for Give Miami Day is $25. Think about how many people you will reach out to and the amount they will likely donate. For example, 10 donors at $50 each = $500 goal.
    • You will make the first gift to set an example for giving.
• Do NOT edit:
  • Duration section
  • Use of funds chart
• You may edit (but don't have to):
  • Image
  • Story section
  • Add your Instagram grid

Step Three: Publish Your Page

• When you are finished, scroll back to the top of the page and click, "Publish."
• You're done! You will be taken to a page that says your fundraiser is now live.
  • Do not share the fundraiser page yet.
  • To get your fundraiser page URL, click on "View Your Fundraiser" and copy the URL in the search bar. We will also provide you with your fundraising URL and further instructions before Give Miami Day starts.
