Join us in protecting Florida's Coral Reef as together we urge Congress to support $1.5 million in funding to plan a large-scale coral restoration facility.
Florida’s Coral Reef is a national treasure—it protects our coastline, supports fisheries, and drives our tourism economy. Corals provide $665 million in coastal protection annually, reducing wave energy by an average of 95%. Corals also support valuable commercial and recreational fisheries. But in the last 50 years, we’ve lost 90% of our coral cover in some areas due to dredging, extreme heat, and disease. Without urgent action, we risk losing this ecosystem forever.
We’re calling on Congress to fund a large-scale coral restoration facility—a first-of-its-kind center in the U.S. that would allow us to restore millions of corals each year, strengthen our storm defenses, and protect jobs tied to tourism and fishing.
Sign the petition to urge lawmakers to invest in coral restoration and help bring our reefs back to life before April 22, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
