Be part of the solution to microplastic pollution! Participate in the International Plastic Pellet Count while helping clean one of Miami's cherished coastal areas. Microplastics—plastic fragments smaller than 5mm—pose a significant threat to marine ecosystems and wildlife. This is your chance to make a direct impact while learning about the environmental importance of removing these harmful pollutants.
Event Details:
- Time: 9:30 AM-11:30 AM (check-in opens 30 minutes prior)
- Location: Historic Virginia Key Beach Park

What to Bring:
- Refillable water bottle
- REQUIRED: Closed-toe shoes
- RECOMMENDED: Long-sleeved shirts and pants (that can get wet)
- Hat, sunblock, and insect repellent
- Personal gloves (Miami Waterkeeper will provide gloves if needed)
