Historic Guided Tour: Led by Keith Ivory (Historian and Urban Health Partnership's Overtown Community Liaison), begin at the iconic Historic Lyric Theater, once the cultural heart of Miami's Black community.
Walking Exploration: Journey through Historic Overtown to discover the neighborhood's legacy, examine the impact of urban development policies, and explore how environmental justice intersects with community history.
Landmark Learning: Visit the Historic Black Police Precinct, a significant landmark that tells the story of Miami's first Black police officers and their community role, while exploring connections between law enforcement, community advocacy, and environmental justice.
Expert Panel Discussion: Conclude with an engaging panel featuring leading Environmental Justice experts working in Miami, discussing current initiatives, challenges, and opportunities for creating a more equitable and sustainable future.
