The Nuclear Regulatory Commission recently approved FPL’s plan to operate the Turkey Point nuclear power plant in Homestead until 2052.

Our Waterkeeper, Dr. Rachel Silverstein, published an Op Ed detailing the imminent dangers that FPL’s Turkey Point poses to Miami’s people and water quality - prompting a public conversation with the former chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Nils Diaz, in the Miami Herald.
