Max Landy

Max Landy
Maxwell is a second-year undergraduate student at Tulane University working to obtain a B.A. in Environmental Studies and seeks to obtain a Masters in Energy Finance in the future.

As a Tulane Community Service Fellow recipient, Max is actively involved in the New Orleans community school system, the Pelicans Youth Outreach and Education Program and Planned Parenthood. Like Miami, New Orleans faces an environmental waterway crisis. In 2015, Maxwell worked on the Lykes Ranch in Okeechobee, Florida. There, he learned about the environmental effects, resource economics, and agribusiness behind cow-calf, sugarcane, bioenergy crops, and water storage operations. As a South Florida native, he cares deeply about Florida’s waterways. Max has been fishing, diving and enjoying Biscayne Bay and the surrounding waterways since he could walk. He is excited about his internship with Miami Waterkeeper and hopes to have a positive impact on South Florida's community. In the future, Maxwell would like to work in a sustainable energy company that incorporates social responsibility, as well as a positive environmental impact.
