Report card finds Miami-Dade stormwater utilities shows poor compliance with pollution permits

Downpours from the beginning of Storm Alex overwhelmed stormwater systems across Miami-Dade county this past weekend. 

"45% of these local governments did not have a written stormwater management permit," said Dr. Rachel Silverstein, Executive Director of Miami Waterkeeper. "We're already seeing stormwater systems failing from sea level rise."
