Climate Action: Inform and Empower

Take the future into your own hands! Join us for a discussion and hands-on activities designed to inform and empower locals around climate action. Following the panel, we’ll be enjoying a screening of the Vizcaya segment from the documentary “Sinking Cities” courtesy of South Florida PBS with snacks provided by Hungry Harvest and beer courtesy of Saltwater Brewery. Vizcaya’s gardens will be open for visitors to enjoy.

The Panel Discussion

The night begins with a keynote by Dr. Andrea Dutton from the University of Florida, followed by a panel discussion on the state of our climate, the urgency for climate action, and solutions. Moderated by Dawn Shirreffs of The Miami Foundation, the panel will feature Caroline Lewis (The CLEO Institute), Susan Glickman (Southern Alliance for Clean Energy) and Dr. Andrea Dutton (University of Florida). All guests are welcome to submit questions for the panel during registration as well as talk with experts one-on-one after the panel.

Nerd Nite Miami Museum Tour Presented by Ironhack!

Nerd Nite is an event during which several folks give fun-yet-informative presentations while the audience drinks along. (It's like the Discovery Channel… with beer!) Nerd Nite Miami is held each month at Gramps bar in Wynwood, but this summer they are taking the show on the road, visiting 5 of Miami's best museums. Come grab a drink, learn something new, and hang out with us at Vizcaya!

Free tickets available HERE.
