Environmental crime: prevention, compliance and enforcement – making the polluters pay

Our Waterkeeper, Dr. Rachel Silverstein, spoke at the 38th International Symposium on Economic Crime at Cambridge University for the Plenary Workshop on Environmental Crime. She focused on crime-harming corals, using the PortMiami dredging project as a case study. This was organized by former judge Bonnie Rippingille and included incredible panelists such as Stacey Geis from Earthjustice, former coordinator of the Environmental Crime division for Interpol Dayvth Stewart, the Program Chair for Friends Earth Michelle Chan, and Professor of Criminology at Northumbria Uni Tanya Wyatt.
