In November 2018, Hydro Flask, the award-winning leader in high performance, insulated stainless steel flasks, announced that Miami Waterkeeper was one of the recipients of its 2018 Parks for All Charitable Giving Program. With this support, we have been busy engaging community members in our educational programs and providing volunteer service events to keep South Florida’s green and blue spaces healthy and accessible to all!
Hydro Flask helped us achieve the following accomplishments in 2019:
- 27 cleanups
- 993 volunteers participated in service events
- 800+ pounds of marine debris was collected
- 22 1,000 Eyes on the Water trainings were held
- 353 water quality samples processed
- 176 beach closures/ water quality test failures reported to the public
- 82,252 views on the Swim Guide app + website
Parks for All supports the development, maintenance, and accessibility of public green spaces in the United States and beyond so people everywhere can live healthier, happier and more fulfilled lives. Hydro Flask Parks for All funding helped support programs including our routine Water Quality Monitoring and 1,000 Eyes on the Water. We are proud to partner with Hydro Flask and continue to make strides towards ensuring swimmable, drinkable, and fishable water for all.
