Addy Nagle
Addy bridges the gap between scientific research and public understanding through education and outreach. She is passionate about environmental stewardship and inspiring the next generation of advocates.

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Addy ventured to Miami to pursue her Master's degree in marine biology and ecology at The University of Miami. Her research expertise lies in the captivating fields of oceanic carbon capture and coral physiology.  With a wealth of experience as both an environmental educator and research biologist, Addy brings a unique perspective to her role at Miami Waterkeeper.


Since joining the team in June of 2022, Addy has seamlessly blended her background in education, love for the environment, and enthusiasm for science to effectively communicate Miami Waterkeeper's mission. Addy enjoys engaging with the community by participating in beach clean-ups and citizen science projects–dedicating her time to preserving the natural splendor of our coastal areas. As an avid scuba diver, she frequents the beautiful reefs around Miami, which allows her to foster a firsthand connection to the marine wonders she tirelessly works to protect.
