World Ocean Day Restoration Event

To celebrate World Ocean Day, we are partnering with 1% for the Planet and the City of Miami to restore our coastal vegetation!

 

From I95: Follow I-95 S to Miami. Take Exit 1A from 1-95 S. Use the right two lanes to exit 1A toward Key Biscayne/ Rickenbacker Causeway. Use any lane to turn slightly left toward SW 26th Rd. Use any lane to turn left onto SW 26thRd. Continue onto FL-913 S/Rickenbacker Causeway. After MAST academy, turn left onto Arthur Lamb Jr. Rd. (also known as the Water treatment plant) and keep right at the fork. Turn right at the roundabout towards the beach area. There will be a guard house which you can pull up to and let them know that you are there for the volunteer activity.

 

From South Dade: Get on Ronal Reagan Turnpike, keep left at the fork to continue on FL-874 N, use the right 2 lanes to take the FL-878 E Exit toward US-1. Continue onto FL-878 E. Take US-1 N to S Miami Ave, Use middle lane to take the US-1 N Exit toward Brickell Ave. Turn Right onto FL-913 S/Rickenbacker Causeway. Turn left onto Arthur Lamb Jr. Rd. (also known as the Water treatment plant) and keep right at the fork. Turn right at the roundabout towards the beach area. There will be a guard house which you can pull up to and let them know that you are there for the volunteer activity.

 

 

What to Bring:

 

  • Please be on time, registration begins 15 minutes before workday starts, during orientation clear instructions will be provided, please pay attention.
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Closed-toe shoes are required and long pants are recommended.
  • A hat, sun block and insect repellent (recommended)
