POSTPONED: Gibson Park Clean-up and Green Infrastructure Project Launch

Unfortunately, we've had to postpone our Overtown clean up and green infrastructure YES, NBS! Community input tool launch event due to forecasted thunderstorms in the area. We will provide a new date soon!

Volunteer Day Main Tasks:

• Removal of trash from the park and surrounding neighborhood
• Official Launch of the YES NBS! Community Input Tool

 *Community Service hours provided* 

Important Volunteer Information:

Please be on time, check-in begins 30 minutes before the volunteer workday starts. Please arrive at 9 am!

• Please Bring:

  • Refillable water bottle. Stay hydrated and be prepared to work outside. 

  • Closed-toe shoes are required, and long-sleeved shirts are and long pants are recommended.

  • A hat, sunblock, and insect repellent (recommended).

  • Gloves you feel comfortable wearing (otherwise you will be provided gloves and all other clean-up supplies).

  • Snacks and coffee will be provided! 

The clean-up is weather dependent and the event will be canceled with at least 24 hours notice if inclement weather is anticipated.
