I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale and after college moved to the Miami area. Since moving to Miami 9 years ago I have been a Miami Beach resident for the last 5 years. Since being a resident I have been apart of beach cleanups following major events on south beach and have seen first hand what damage is done from pollution to our streets and beaches. When I heard from my friends Carlos and Andrew that they would be participating in this event to make a statement and raise awareness I offered a helping hand to be apart of something I am also passionate about. We are raising money and awareness by pushing a cart of trash through the marathon course.
