Monique grew up in New York, where she studied environmental studies and psychology at New York University. Through her studies she found her passion in learning about the marine environment and how people interact with it. She then moved to Miami to pursue her Master’s degree in Marine Conservation to protect the marine environment and to make sure that people can continue to enjoy it into the future. Monique strongly agrees with Miami Waterkeeper’s mission and is very excited to be working with them. She hopes to work in environmental policy.
