Miami Parks and Recreation Simpson Trail Cleanup

For the next year, Miami Waterkeeper will be partnering with the City of Miami Parks and Recreation for various volunteer opportunities in one of three beautiful parks housed in Miami- Simpson Park, Alice Wainright Park and Virginia Key Beach North Point Park!

To kick-off our partnership, we will be helping with the removal of debris from Irma this Saturday at Simpson Park. YES, you read that right. In this 8-acre hammock in Brickell, there is still plenty to clean, and LOTS of invasive plant species to remove. All of our natural lands are connected to the water, so we need your help to protect these areas!

Want to join us this weekend? Make sure to RSVP on the City of Miami Eventbrite page!

Can't make it this weekend but want to volunteer in the future? Check out our flyer for more details! No volunteer event will be the same, so whether you are interested in cleaning beaches, fighting invasive species or participating in dune restoration, there's an event for everyone!

Will you come?
