Lauren Brown Hornor co-founded Miami Waterkeeper in 2010 and served as its Board Chair for 10 years. She has provided legal support and guidance to Waterkeeper organizations located across the country while working as an attorney with Waterkeeper Alliance (WKA) in New York. Lauren is also board President of Fraser Riverkeeper in Vancouver, BC which she launched in 2007, and served as its Executive Director for 11 years. She is currently the Strategic Partnership Lead with Swim Drink Fish in Canada. Lauren was named one of the original twelve Swim Drink Fish Ambassadors in April 2016, and most recently received the YWCA Women of Distinction Award for Environmental Sustainability in Vancouver. She currently resides in West Vancouver with her husband and three young children, and loves returning to Miami and Biscayne Bay.
