Laura develops, plans, and executes Miami Waterkeeper programs. She specializes in citizen science & hands-on programs that are designed so you can partner with us in our goal of protecting Biscayne Bay & the surrounding watershed.
Prior to joining the MWK team, Laura spent 11 years as outreach manager at the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine & Atmospheric Science, with the last 6 of those years working with the CARTHE consortium where she developed the marine debris, citizen science study Bay Drift (Biscayne Bay Drift Card Study). She has a M.A. in Marine Affairs & Policy from the University of Miami RSMAS, and a B.S. in Biology from the Pennsylvania State University's Eberly College of Science.
