Isabelle Salvaterra
Isabelle is a graduate student at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where she studies Public Health with a concentration in Environmental Health.

Isabelle grew up surrounded by the water. Her fascination with it, its creatures and her love for sport of sailing built her passion for the ocean and its connection with humanity. As an undergraduate at Boston College she studied Psychology and sailed competitively on the school's sailing team helping them secure four national titles. Her interest in Psychology and how the environment influences behavior, cognition and biology led her to study Environmental Public Health at University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine. Her background and love for the ocean fuels her research at Miami Waterkeeper, which focuses on the bioaccumulation of toxins in fish in Miami Waterways and their effects on human health in the community.
