International Coastal Cleanup Day 2018

Scientists estimate that more than 17 billion pounds of plastic enter our ocean every year threatening marine life from corals polyps to sharks, the health of people, and local economies.

Join the world’s largest one-day volunteer effort for our oceans by participating in Ocean Conservancy’s 33rd annual International Coastal Cleanup, on Saturday, September 15th, 2018 and show your commitment to reducing marine debris, along with volunteers from around the globe! organizes Miami-Dade’s local participation in this global event with 45+ simultaneous shoreline cleanups around the county and is made possible by the generous support of our presenting sponsor, Covanta, with additional support from the City of Miami Beach - MB Rising Above, Capital One, Revolution 93.5 FM, and Miami Beach Suncare.

Miami Waterkeeper will be the captains of the Miami Marine Stadium/MAST Academy Trail on Virginia Key, so come out and join us to clean-up our beautiful waterways!
