Water Quality Monitoring Program
Miami Waterkeeper monitors 8 sites weekly for bacteria levels and reports our results to the public. Our sites include areas that are not currently part of the Florida Department of Health’s Florida Healthy Beaches program, but which people use recreationally. The equipment list below serves as key components of our monitoring and research efforts to help keep you and our water safe. Bacteria monitoring
Our weekly bacteria monitoring program is accomplished through sample collection from places where people use the water, followed by analysis in a lab. The supplies listed below makes it possible for our team to perform collection and analysis protocols according to EPA and Florida state standards.
