Miami Waterkeeper is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Development & Marketing Coordinator. Working with the Director of Advancement & Donor Impact, this individual will be responsible for all administrative aspects of fundraising, marketing, and outreach activities. The Development & Marketing Coordinator will play an important role by coordinating and monitoring the progress of fundraising and marketing projects, including events, outreach initiatives and campaigns. This individual will have strong project management skills and experience working with databases. An ideal candidate will be proactive and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with a high functioning team of mission-focused individuals.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Development

CRM Database Management
- Organize and manage customer relations management (CRM) database, including constituent profiles, proposal info, gift info, etc.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of CRM database by ensuring that all information is kept current and up-to-date
- Create and generate standard and custom reports

Events
- Organize and project manage all donor-related aspects of virtual and in-person organizational events
- Prepare materials for events, including collateral and promotional materials

Donor Stewardship
- Ensure that donor stewardship process is implemented
- Coordinate with finance to ensure timely acknowledgement of gifts
- Track and steward donations
- Ensure major gift donors are properly recognized in all digital and print collateral

Grant Support
- Help manage grant and report deadlines
- Compile basic grant proposals, as necessary
Marketing
- Maintain MWK website with regular updates
- Assist in executing day-to-day social media initiatives
- Assist with newsletter content compilation
- Manage and maintain digital and social media analytics
ADDITIONAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage digital asset archives (e.g. photo and video libraries)
- Reconcile development and marketing expenses monthly
- Coordinate translation of materials into Spanish and/or Creole
- Collaborate with and prepare materials for vendors, including but not limited to consultants, graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and printers
- Assist with prospect research
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Passion for the mission of Miami Waterkeeper
- Bachelor’s degree in related field + two years of directly related work experience (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Highly organized with strong project management skills
- Exceptional time-management with ability to plan for and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple, sometimes shifting, priorities simultaneously
- Proficient with general office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
- Professional experience working with databases
- Ability to learn and adapt to new tech systems
- Social media and marketing software
- Ability to work independently and across teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Available to work flexible hours, including occasional late nights, holidays, and weekends
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Database management experience preferred

- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish/Creole)
SALARY RANGE
$45,000 - $55,000
