From New York, Mia moved to Florida to pursue marine biology where she earned her bachelor’s degree in marine science from Eckerd College and master’s degree in Marine Biology and Ecology from the University of Miami’s RSMAS. Mia specializes in elasmobranch conservation, monitoring changes in ocean chemistry, and how chemical changes impact top predators. Outside of work, Mia enjoys scuba diving, freediving, and photography.
