Julianna is one of Miami Waterkeeper's Water Quality Field Technicians, sampling and analyzing water around Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
Julianna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as well as a Master of Professional Studies in Marine Conservation from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, & Earth Science. She initially joined Miami Waterkeeper as an intern and has since transitioned into a part-time role as a Water Quality Technician.
Julianna was born and raised in Miami Beach, and her passion for protecting the waters of Biscayne Bay and its diverse inhabitants grew significantly during her internship, where she conducted research on Enterococci Levels in Wet and Dry Seasons in Miami-Dade County.
